Join Us for a One-Day Workshop on Trauma and Healing
Presenters:
Gabriel Herodier: Trauma-Informed Cree Counsellor
Lisa V. Wesley: Mental Health and Wellness Manager, Mushkegowuk Health; Registered Trainer
Workshop Highlights:
Gabriel Herodier
will discuss dream interpretation using traditional Indigenous perspectives passed down from Elders, and its role in healing. Gabriel will discuss the importance of building internal self-healing tools to work through trauma.
Lisa V. Wesley
will cover identifying your body's response to trauma, types and symptoms of trauma, and the importance of beginning or continuing your healing process for intergenerational healing
Please note that this workshop has a heavy focus on trauma and some participants may be triggered by the topics of discussion (trigger warning: domestic abuse, child abuse, violence, alcohol, suicide). Registration is required. Limited spaces are available. Lunch will be available for participants.
