Cheryl Wapachee

Cheryl Wapachee is a Moose Cree First Nation member from Moose Factory, Ontario. She was raised in Moose Factory and in Ottawa and later returned to Moose Factory as a young adult. Cheryl has continually worked in the finance field since she started her career in finance back in 2003. She brings with her 20 years of experience in day-to-day financial management and activities; internal reporting; financial analysis; month and year end reporting; annual financial audit preparation; financial policy development and implementation and other financial related duties. Cheryl has specialized experience in finance but has also worked in human resources/payroll and management. Cheryl has worked in organizations in the northern communities, such as, education authorities, First Nation organizations, and provincially funded organizations. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, traveling, fishing and outdoor activities, cultural activities and exploring the surrounding areas in the North.
