My name is Julie Wesley and I am the Regional Crisis Intervention Youth Worker. I graduated from Canadore College in 2017 as a Social Service Worker, since then I was a Child Care Worker and then took a break to find joy in my busy life. I am a part time student at Laurentian University online for Psychology.

I am originally from Kashechewan First Nation and currently reside in Moose Factory with my Fiancé and two beautiful children. I am passionate about healing our communities so when I decided to return to work, I wanted to make sure it was something I was very passionate about and here I can grow and be creative. I have worked and lived within our communities in front line posiitons in the past, so I am excited knowing I am familiar with our communities and members.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family. I love being in tune with nature, I will always be around the bushes smudging, picking medicine and drumming. I take my self-care seriously, I research a lot about growth; reading books, writing, meditation, working out and therapy sessions are exciting to me. And sometimes I just like to do nothing at all and veg out!

I like to believe I am joyful to be around, I love working with people. I enjoy running social circles and presenting workshops. I like being creative and love listening to others' ideas. I am a big believer that in order to save our communities, we must work together as a team!
