WEEK 1: November 1- 7

Risk factors & prevention: Commercial tobacco, inactivity, heavy drinking, unhealthy eating, and skipping check-ups raise the risk of many diseases. Aim for 150 minutes of activity a week and see your health provider regularly, even when you feel fine.

Photo challenge: Post a clean-shaven "before" photo to register, with the caption: "I'm participating in #MushkegowukMovember to spread awareness about men's health." Don't forget to use the hashtag #MushkegowukMovember and tag us @MushHealth on Facebook or Instagram (image must be set to public)

Why it matters: Many health problems in men can be prevented or caught early. Knowing your risk factors, staying active, quitting commercial tobacco, and getting regular check-ups all make a difference.
