About the event

Mushkegowuk Health will be hosting an RSV vaccine clinic in Timmins on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Am I Eligible?

Mushkegowuk Health will be offering an RSV vaccine clinic for Indigenous individuals living in the Timmins area. This vaccine is for adults 60 years of age or older.

What is RSV?

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of respiratory illness. RSV infection often leads to mild illness with cold-like symptoms. Certain groups, such as older adults and those with underlying health conditions (ex. asthma, chronic heart or lung disease), are at higher risk for severe illness from RSV infection and for RSV-related hospitalization and mortality.

Why Should I Get Vaccinated?

The RSV vaccine (Arexvy) is the most effective way to protect yourself against RSV infection and severe illness due to RSV.

To book an appointment, please call reception at 705-269-6662 by Friday, February 16. Space is limited.
