About the event
Lillian Moore-Faries and Kane Faries will be offering the following ceremonies from July 21-July 31 at the Wahshtaywin Camp Site, 110km northeast of Cochrane, ON (highway 652).
July 21 – Travel day
July 22 – Meet and greet, camp set up and stations.
July 23 – Roles and responsibilities of men and women. Rites of passage teachings.
July 24 – Setting fish nets, medicine picking and teachings.
July 25 – Roles and responsibilities of men and women. Rites of passage teachings.
July 26 – How to clean/prolong of keeping fish, cooking, and preparing wild food.
July 27 – Sweat Lodge Teachings, Shake Tent Teachings, Sacred Fire Teachings.
July 28 – Shake Tent Prep and Ceremony (gathering of poles and make Shake Tent Lodge).
July 29 – Ancestry Ceremony and Feast.
July 30 – Camp clean up.
July 31 – Travel day,
**Rough camping is available, please bring your own tent, air mattress and blankets, a lawn chair, towels, offerings (tobacco) and bundle (if you have one) and feast bundles**
